Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Fuel Cell truck

Daimler Trucks presents technology strategy for electrification – world premiere of Mercedes-Benz fuel-cell concept truck

The Mercedes-Benz GenH2 truck is a fuel cell truck with a range up to 1000 km. Customer trials will start in 2023 and the start of series production is planned in the second half of this decade.

For the first time, Daimler Trucks presents a preview of its purely battery-powered long-haul truck: the Mercedes-Benz eActros LongHaul. Starting from the middle of the decade, it is designed to cover regular journeys on plannable routes in an energy-efficient manner. Its range on one battery charge will be approximately 500 kilometers.

The styling of the Fuel Cell truck is modern, but in the base it is the Actros cab with an streamlined nose cone glued on. That means the benefits of the new cab regulations do not influence the interior space. The driver has to work in the same space as up to now in the new Fuel Cell truck.

Also Mercedes-Benz introduced the eActros Longhaul, a battery-electric truck with a range up to 500 km. This truck is said to go in production in 2024.

The lighter version of the eActros, with a range up to 200 km will go in production next year.
