Volvo Non-Hit Car and Truck..

Volvo introduced a safety system that is monitoring the complete surroundings of the truck. The system ‘sees’ in 360 degrees everything that walks, rides bycicles or other objects that could be hit by the truck. The system is the result of a project that is called ‘Non-Hit Car and Truck’ and that project was done together with Volvo cars. The Volvo monitors the movement, direction and speed of all other road users and calculates possible collisions. If the driver does not respond to the danger the system can take over by hitting the brakes or by adjusting the steering system.
