Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), Daimler’s Japanese commercial vehicle subsidiary, and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Nissan) expand their cooperation. The two companies today announced they have signed a contract for supply of completely built up Nissan commercial vans sold under the Fuso brand in export markets.
Under the contract, Nissan will supply its “NV350 Urvan” (GVW: 3.5 tons) commercial van to be sold by MFTBC as ‘Fuso Canter Van’ in the Middle East starting in 2014.No technical details of this particular van are issued so far.
Both manufacturers already cooperate in the bus segment, serving various Asian markets. Nissan is a part of Renault. In Europe Renault en Daimler cooperate in small passenger cars and in vans.
