Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Ford work together on a new series of light commercial vehicles. For city delivery the new VW Caddy is also going to be sold as the new small Ford courier. In the one ton segment Ford is going to develop a new van to replace both the Transit Custom and the VW T6 van. Apart from that Volkswagen is working on a seperate vehicle to replace the luxury versions of the Multivan, Carravelle and California models.
For the pickup models Ford will be leading with a new Ranger that is also going to be the base of the new Amarok. The press release does not mention the large Ford Transit and the VW Crafter models.
