Scania fantasies, or is something brewing?

Scania Artist Imp1After a wave of new truck design courtesy of the Euro-6 generation, there are two brands left that did not introduce a completely new cab or even a big facelift. MAN and Scania came with only minor detail changes and left us waiting for bigger design news. Especially Scania, a brand that triggers a lot of attention and not just from creative people, is all over the web with new designs. We all know the Turkish designer with his great futuristic Scania R 1000 designs, but here are two other designs I found. On one photo the name ‘Mikel’ is written, the other author is unknown.

The left design could be something that Scania prepares for the introduction of the 730 Hp Euro-6 engine. It looks like it has bigger air intakes in the grille that could be necessary.

Scania Artist MikelThe grey Scania has a more dramatically changed design, and I must say that it also looks promising. Funny is that both designers put the big air intakes on the side back on the cab, where Scania just got rid of it.

Fact is that we have to wait for both MAN and Scania to come with their own, new design. These brands are now related through the Volkswagen parent connection, so they could share more parts in the future. It’s for sure that they will reinvent their cabs soon. They will completely adapted to the Euro 6 era, and they will show improvements over the current cabs.

Meeanwhile, keep your eyes open and keep sending us scoop pictures!
