Today Volvo launches the new FM series. The truck uses the ‘old’ cab, but the rest is new. That means chassis, driveline, suspension, design and even the interior. The interior has the same atmosphere as the FH, and it looks good!
Volvo now offers the I-Shift with the traditional box on the seat or without that box. Then the shifting mode is being selected on the dashboard.
The FM comes with the 11- and 13 liter engines from 330 until 500 Hp in Euro 6. New is also a 8×2 triple configuration with 3 steering axles. Volvo reduced weight on the new FM and improved the driving. The frame is basicly that of the new FH series, and that promisses a very good ride! Here ar the first official photo’s!
