Until monday the 29th of january we have to wait what the new Volvo FH is going to look like. No ‘leaked’ scalemodels this time, and we have seen no photo’s of the new truck, apart from the camera system on test and the one underneath a plastic sheet.
But we did find some details from the teaser campagne of Volvo on Youtube. The video’s are named A-E-R and O, and that makes the word Aero. Probably the new generation is going to be named FH Aero.
Other news that we heard is that the biggest engine, the 16 liter is going to be a 17 liter in the future, with the maximum output of 780 Hp. That is 10 Hp more than the ‘King’ at this moment, the Scania 770 S.
Rumours say the cab is going to be 23 cm longer on the front, wich makes it fitting in the new European regulation for streamline and safety. This also makes the optional XL cab legal with a 13,60 trailer.
For the rest the only thing we have now are the stills from the video. They show that the Volvo logo is placed on the lower grille now, with on both sides the V-shaped headlights.
