In Kenias, in the outskirts of Nairobi, police checked trucks with a weighbridge. They weighed a truck which appeared to be fine. However, police noticed that this truck went to take ‘some’ extra load. After this was completed, the Kenian police ordered the truck back on the weighbridge.
There, it appeared that the total weight of the loaded truck was over 171 tonnes. With a permitted weigth of only 54 tonnes, this one exceeded it’s own limits by an incredible 117 tonnes. The driver intended to go to Congo with construction materials. The fine written was 3.276 dollars. Local police filmed the incident and put it on Youtube:
