The Mercedes-Benz Econic cab is extra safe for inner- city transportation. Several Econic trucks are working in construction works in the London city centrer. New is the Econic as 4×2 tractor unit for city distribution. The Econic is equiped with the 7,7 litre diesel engine with 354 Hp in combination with an Allison automatic transmission. For the near future Mercedes anounched that the standard Powershift transmission will be available before the end of 2017 in the Econic. The Econic 1835 tractor unit is good for a max GVW of 36 tonnes.
