At the press conference of DAF trucks at the IAA2014 this future study was presented as an example of where design could go to, when new European rules allow a protective nose in front of the cab improving aerodynamics and safety related to bicyclists. An interesting point is that some of the lines in this artist impression are already visible in the Euro-6 models as they are on the road today.
DAF presented during the press presentation their predictive cruise control system, named PCC. Also there are new interiors and there is a new low-deck tractor with full air suspension on both front and rear axle.
