Building Volvo FH

Driving a modern truck you have no clou how much effort it took to build it. A few years ago I was able to build my own FH in the Volvo plant in Gent, so I do know what it takes. Volvo now made a press release that tells everything about the production of a…Continue Reading

Volvo dreams of battery-less electromobility

Volvo Trucks studies the possibility for long-haul trucks and buses to draw the juice they need from the road itself, making large onboard batteries a thing of the past. It looks Volvo’s been inspired by your old fashioned Scalextric racetrack, which should lie somewhere in the dust at your attic, or the attic of your…Continue Reading

The next Volvo FM?

Just a few days after the launch of the new Renault Trucks I found this on the web. It is the new Renault cab with a Volvo FM grille! I am convinced that it is a clever photoshop, but it does look good. Could it be that this is going to be the next Volvo…Continue Reading

Volvo FL Euro-6

Now this is the first new Volvo FL Euro-6 that I saw in costumer livery, but again: It is a Phothshop picture.. Vroegop-Windig, a Dutch company just ordered four FE and one FLĀ Euro-6 trucks, and Volvo made a press-release with this photo. It gives an impression of how the truck will look. Earlyer Volvo did…Continue Reading

Volvo – Scania Euro VI 16-litre fight !

Volvo and Scania are going to fight it out with their upcoming powerful sixteen litre Euro VI engines. Earlier this year, Scania unveiled its new V8 Euro 6 engine range. However, they left out one very important engine in their presentation: the most powerful one, the 730 hp plus variant. It appears now why Scania…Continue Reading

It's a photoshop trick!

After the posting of the new FM of the Dutch company Wesseling I got some reactions about the photo. It seems that the Wesseling ordered the new FM’s, but they don’t even exist at the moment. That means the photo is shopped! You can’t even trust official press releases anymore these days..Continue Reading

What happens to the Premium cab?

Now that Volvo has unveiled it’s Euro 6 FE truck, we wonder at Iepieleaks what is going to happen with the current Premium-cab. As insiders know, the Volvo FE features this cab (see picture). Next month, Renault will unveil it’s new Euro 6 truckseries. Word has it, that three new trucks will be introduced at…Continue Reading

Volvo readies FE and FL for Euro 6

Volvo introduces its new range of light trucks with Euro 6 engines. From the outside, the trucks maintain their Renault cab, but it’s been modified to the family-look we got acquainted to with the introduction of the FH. Underneath the cab, customers can choose from a four cylinder five litre engine and a 7,7 litre…Continue Reading

New FM on the road

Now here is the first new Volvo FM that I’ve seen in company livery. It is a Euro-6 and it is owned by Wesseling from Sassenheim, Holland. Wesseling is transporting flowers with the new FM. The truck has the dynamic steering system and Wesseling works with Fuel Advise.Continue Reading
