With the new, aerodynamic front design, complying to the new EU rules cabs can be longer. We are all waiting for the Scania sollution for the new front, and it seems they are working hard on it. We published pictures of test trucks with a different grille and bumper before.
Until now Scania offered the XXL cab, with an extended sleeper cab behind the side fenders. That cab is named the CS23, and that stands for a bbc-rear wall length of 230 cm. Now breaking news, because we found a photo of the new Longline cab, with the type code CS310. That means a 310 cm long sleeper cab, with, as you can see on the photo’s a wider sleeping compartiment. To compare it with the DAF XG+, that is ‘only’ 260 cm long.
This extra long cab is produced at Laxå, where all Scania cab conversions are made, like double cabs. It seems to me that this is going to be the new, aerodynamic Longline that Scania is going to introduce in the coming months.
