The Chinese company Westwell delivered 12 electrical, autonomous trucks to the port of Felixtowe. Since 2018 these trucks were tested for container transport on the terminal and as a result of those tests there was an order for 100 of these trucks.
The first 12 trucks of that order are now on their way to Felixtowe. The trucks have no cab, and are automated controlled and monitored from a central control post. Source: 40ton.net
