A Californian startup has developed a prototype Class 8 electric truck, called the Thor ET-One. The objection is to make this truck even cooler than others, like the Nikola One and the Tesla Semi, or even the electric truck from Cummins..
The Thor ET-One is built on a Navistar chassis which was put on Dana axles. The electric motors are produced by a routined third party and Thor trucks expect to run it’s first trucks on the road within two years time. The electric motor can be had with either 300 or with 700 hp. The startup company expects to deliver their trucks against a price of 150.000 dollars. They expect a range of their ET-One of 300 miles. Maintenance costs should be some 60% lower than a comparable diesel truck. The price per mile should be 70% lower. Whatever the specs, this a very cool looking electric truck!
