International Trucks launched the new RH Series, a new Class 8 regional-haul tractor at the 2017 ExpoCam truck show. The RH Series trucks are equipped with the International A26 12.4L engine. A very familiar engine that we know as the MAN D26 engine. International is now partly in the hands of the Volkswagen Group and these are the first moves to a world engine platform on the basis of the MAN engines.
International claims the new 475 Hp engine is no less than 300 kg lighter than previous engines and up to 5% more fuel efficient. The RH Series will be offered in multiple configurations, including day cab, 56-inch low roof sleeper, 56-inch hi-rise sleeper, day cab with roof fairing, and 56-inch hi-rise sleeper with roof fairing.
