MAZ, from Minsk is starting the production of Euro-6 trucks this year. The Belarusian truck brand is focusing on the Baltic States, the Balkan countries and West-Europe with these trucks. MAZ says they are conviced that they can fight the European truck brands on quality for a better price.
The MAZ trucks use Mercedes-Benz drivelines.
Other news from MAZ is that they developed new, heavy axles for off-road purpose. The new construction trucks are equiped with nine ton front axles and 16 ton rear axles.
