VSE shortens line to customer

Earlier this year steering system specialist VSE of Veenendaal was taken over by Weber Hydraulik, the German multinational specialist in hydraulics and hydraulics-related products. This has given rise to changes at VSE, prompted primarily by the fact that VSE’s customer portfolio has also grown considerably over the past year. More people seem impressed with VSE, see for instance the film below.

On 1 November a structural change was therefore carried out at VSE. This entails the creation of business units to serve the truck and trailer markets. This means that there are now distinct business units at VSE, enabling VSE to respond more directly to queries from the various markets. As of 22 September Egon Lueb was appointed manager of the Trailer Systems Business Unit.

He explains: “For VSE serving the truck and trailer markets has always entailed two completely different things. On the truck market VSE often works in tandem with the manufacturer’s R&D department. The trailer market is more a ‘retail market’. Both markets are our active playing fields, but they are rather different. Having a specialist team for each market means that we are now able to operate more effectively.”

Egon Lueb points out that VSE’s systems are the lightest of their kind and that they do not require any additional height when the trailers are being built. Follow these links to get an impression of VSE steering systems. A customer has to get through a narrow gateway in a Paris suburb.
