Volvo Trucks is testing a Efficiency Concept Truck in Brazil. The Volvo FH has longer side fenders, is built lighter and, most interesting, has an aerodynamic optimized front. The front part of the cab is made 175 mm longer on the front end and is rounder than before. The complete front design is new and together with the mirror replacing camera’s that makes the truck look realy slick.
We wonder if this new cab shape is enough to comply with the new European regulations for streamline like the new DAF. That would also make an extended cab possible on European roads.
