On these photo’s we see a smart solution that Iveco found to fit extra fuel on a truck frame. As we all know taking enough fuel for a long trip is getting more complicated with Euro-6. The big damper and cathalist units on the trucks take a lot of space. Now on this truck chassis there seems to be an extra fuel tank on the back of the truck frame. The tank is shaped so that the landing gear of the trailer don’t touch anything and the battery’s also are in the back of the frame. A tank like this could hold up to 300 litres of fuel extra, and that may be enough to reach that cheap gasoline station in Luxemburg!
Probably this is one of the news items of Iveco on the next IAA in Hannover.
