Scania is expected to show its new face this year. Just like the other Swedish truckbrand Scania is also working on aerodynamics and safety to comply to the new European rules. This camouflaged test truck was caught in the north by photographer Guido ten Brink.
As espected Scania already complied to most of the new rules with their cab. That is a result of the taperd shaped cab that is narrower on the front. Thererfore the new Scania front does not need as much front extention as the Volvo, but just a litle and more, rounded cab corners.
In the detail photo’s you see some of the new lines of the cab under the windscreen and in the bumper section. Also the grille seems different, but that can be camouflage.
The Scania still has mirrors, but there are also small camera’s mounted just above them on the right side. We expect to see the Scania news during the IAA in september in Hannover. Stay tuned!
