Scania: Testing in progress

ScaniaScoopSome time ago we found the photo of a heavy camouflaged Scania truck. Checking the licence plate shows that it is a R730 6×4, and in a reaction on Iepieleaks a Photoshop artist tried to proof that is is the old cab underneath the camouflage. (Click here for that posting)

But now I found this small detail, and that shows that there is also another type on test. This part of that photo shows that the cab sits a lot lower on the frame, and the fenders are part of the cab. It is off course no news that Scania is working on a new truck, because that is what every manufacturer Scania scoop 3does, but we are very curious when this news comes to the market. After all the biggest competitor in Sweden just launched a complete new truck, so something should be cooking in Sodertalje!

So, when you are out there on the roads in Sweden, keep your eyes open and your camera’s ready!

  1. This Scania cabin is for sure a new type. The driver is higher positioned, the roof is completely different, the turning point of the tilting cab is lower and the cab could be a half inch longer.
Could this be a flat floor cabin?
