Scania presents news with the new 13 liter ‘world engine’ of Traton, new rear axles and the Scania Mirror View Camera system. The new, non EGR 13 liter engine is called the Super engine. The engine has a one piece cylinder head, double overhead camshafts and a powerfull engine brake. As an option there is even a stronger engine brake, the Compression Release Brake that works as a Jake Brake. With this system Scania trucks can now be ordered with ACC without a retarder. The new engine comes with 420, 460, 500 or 560 Hp.
The optional rear view mirror system with camera’s is mounted on the position where normaly the mirrors are, underneath the side windows. Scania claims a better view with this position since the mirrors are close to the monitors in the cab. Also new are different chassis options, fuel tanks and interior trims.
