Scania presented a R40 tractor during the IAA with a seventh battery, placed under the cab. With this extra battery the Scania now has 728 kWh on board, which gives the truck a range of 520 km.
This means the ‘range-race’ has started. DAF and Iveco already announced electric trucks with a 500 km range and Mercedes has the eActros 600 already on the road with 500 km. Scania now makes the next step but Volvo already announced the new FH electric with a 600 km range. Who’s next?
