Paccar is presenting the new Peterbilt and Kenworth fuel cell trucks at the CES 2024 in Las Vegas. The driveline of the trucks is developed together with Toyota Motor North America. Both the Kenworth T680 FCEV and the Peterbilt Model 579 FCEV are good for about 720 km with 37 ton total weight. According to Paccar already 150 of these models have been ordered. Production is said to start in 2025.
Other trucks on display at the Paccar stand are the new Mild Hybrid Super Truck 2 of Peterbilt and the DAF XD electric.
