The production of the new Kamaz 5490 long haul truck will start in this month. This truck is the first Kamaz with Mercedes Benz parts and cab. The old Axor cab has a new designed front grille. Daimler now owns 15% of the Russian truck manufacturer. The Mercedes-Benz OM 457LA six-cylinder engine with 12 liter and 428 Hp is under the cab. Also the axles are from Mercedes. The gearbox is ZF.
