The new DAF CF that is launched yesterday at the CV Show in Birmingham comes with the new MX-11 and the MX-13 engine. The difference between these two is the height of the cab. When the MX-11 engine is on board the cab sits on the same height as before. With the MX-13 Euro-6 engine the cab is raised a litle, about five centimeters. The difference can be seen in the grille. The lower mounted cab has four air intakes in the grille, where the high cab has five. The top one is than in the upper grille, just under the aluminium plate with the DAF logo. The difference also shows on the side of the cab. The higher mounted cab has a longer door and higher fenders to compensate the hight difference. The entry stays the same, cause the steps are devided over the overall height.

I believe that the euro 6 has three steps on the entry and the lower one just two….
