Longer cabs can make a big difference for fuel economy, safety and interior space. We all now that but now the EAA made an impressive report to proof it. Later this year the European Commission will talk about a possibility for longer cabs on trucks.
The report is bassed on a study of the German Forschungsgeselschaft Kraftfahrwesen (FKA). It says that a ronder front can make the aerodynamics up to 12 procent better. The improved safety could safe thousends of injurys.
