Kenworth introduced a more streamlined T680 truck with a day-cab for pickup and delivery and regional tansport. The truck is optimized in aerodynamics and is powered by the Paccar MX13 or MX11 engines. These engines come In combination with the Eaton Fuller automatised transmission with the fuel efficient Meritor MT40-14 drive axles rated at 40.000 pounds. The Kenworth driver performance assistant, Predictive cruise control and ‘neutral coast’ give a better fuel efficiency.
Also there is a new aerodynamic design that reduces drag and improves fuel efficiency. There are several aerodynamic changes that are lighted yellow in the photo. Kenworth says all this leads to a 6% lower fuel consumption.
