Iveco Trakker Hi-Land 10×8

This Iveco Trakker 10×8 is something special. The truck came from the factory as an 8×8 vehicle, but Dutch Iveco dealer Schouten built an extra central 10 ton axle under the truck. This axle is hydraulically steered and can be lifted when the truck goes offroad. This configuration gives 10,3 ton on both front axles, 10 ton on the central axle and 11,5 ton on both last axles. Together that makes 49,6 tons and that is close to the Dutch limit of 50 ton for a rigid.

The tyres on this beast are 375/90R22,5 on the both front axles, 425/65 on the central axle and 325/80R24 on the last two axles. The truck is powered by the 450 Hp Euro-5 engine and has the ZF As-Tronic gearbox on board.
