Hino and Fuso join forces

Japanese truck manufacturers Hino and Fuso join forces. Hino is owned by Toyota, while Fuso is a Daimler Truck company. Both companies keep a 25% ownership in the new company, Fuso CEO Karl Deppen stays in charge.

By joining forces the Japanese truck builders want to strengthen their position on the Asian market and be more competitive against the Chinese truckbrands. The new, Japanese truck manufacturer has 40.000 employees. In the next months more news will come. The new company will start in 2026 but the name is not yet presented.
