DAF presents a ‘Low Deck’ version of the new XF tractor. The coupling hight is only 960 mm and that makes trailers possible with an internal height of 3 meters and 100 cubic metres of volume.
The Low Deck tractor comes standard with air suspension and has a special ‘manouvring mode’ that gives 5 cm lift. This makes driving on-and off ferry’s trains or steep ramps easy. The manouvring mode automaticly switches back to neutral when the speed goes over 30 km/h. The Low Deck tractor comes with 58 cm high fuel tanks with a total capacity up to 1090 litres.
