After Scania, DAF is the second truckbrand to participate in the e-Highway project in Germany. In this project trucks with a panthograph behind the cab can be charged with overhead lines, just like trains. DAF has made an agreement with the German university RWTH Aachen to participate in the test. DAF provides the test with two electric DAF XD 270 trucks.
