C.R. England, the world’s largest refrigerated trucking company, announced today that the company will begin deploying ATDynamics TrailerTail® technology. After extensive fuel economy testing, the first 200 units will be deployed on new trailers this November. The deployment of TrailerTail® technology at C.R. England has the potential to reduce the company’s total diesel fuel consumption by more than 2 million gallons per year.“Our testing has shown that improved air flow at the rear of the trailer results in reduced fuel consumption. Installing TrailerTails® on our latest group of new trailers will allow us to observe these benefits in a real world situation throughout our transportation network,” said Corey England, Executive Vice President at C.R. England.

The first TrailerTail is now on the road in Holland, tough there is no legal base for it yet in Europe. For the extra vehicle length there are new laws comming in Europe, but these are not implemented yet.
