Renault has been doing field tests with the new Euro-6 generation. In total 50 trucks are driving all over Europe with costumers, and the reviews are very good. That is what CEO Bruno Blin said during a meeting with a group of journalists.
Renault is finishing a zeven year developement proces and is now ready for the launch in june. Apart from the fieldtest trucks there were also factory tests going on, and in total Renault Trucks tested about 300 trucks over 10 miljon kilometres. The names Premium and Magnum will dissapear and there will be one basic cab that comes in four different hights. On the photo you see all the variants. Mr. Blin is confinced that the new Renault Trucks are going to have a unique identity so the position of the brand in the market stays the same. The cab is a complete Renault Trucks developement, but the chassis and drivelines are equal to the Volvo trucks, including the 11- and 13 liter engines and the automated I-Shift gearbox.
