The European truckbrands left the Russian Market and they left empty production facilities in the St. Petersburg area. The former Scania and MAN plant is now the base of a new Russian truckbrand, named BAZ.
The new, modern looking BAZ trucks will hit the market this summer (2025) with a 6×6 model that could be usefull for militairy tasks. They come with independant suspension and coil springs and fiberglass cabs with a steel structure. The engine is a YaMZ 653.1 with 357 Hp, but a 500 Hp Yaroslavl engins is an option.
