A better photo of Rafn's Volvo

Now here is a much better picture of the new FH16 heavy transport tractor of Torben Rafn. It is remarkable what colours can do on a truck. On the introduction vehicles the grille looks a bit odd but this is a great truck! The only thing I don’t like are the blue lights on the…Continue Reading

Plug in hybrid systems

Now here is a question for the car- and truck industrie. What makes a vacuum cleaner of about 100 Euro’s more clever than a ‘plug in hybrid’ car, van or truck? It is in the cable! Imagine that you are a night out with your plugin hybrid car, let’s say to a theatre. When you…Continue Reading

New FH, new XXL?

On Facebook.com I found this photo of the new FH16 with an extra long Globetrotter cab. I think it is a Phothoshop creation but it does rais the question, is ther going to be an extended version for Australia? And if that is the case, will it be on the market in European countries? On the…Continue Reading

Toyota ProAce

Before the end of this year Toyota comes with the ProAce van. In fact this is a rebadged Sevel van that we know from Fiat, Citroën and Peugeot. It is clear that the Hi-Ace was no big succes on the European market and that is why the Japanese went shopping in Europe. The ProAce comes…Continue Reading

New FH in company livery

This very low resolution photo i found on the internet but it is good enough to show the new Volvo FH16 in company livery! The truck looks good in these colours, even better than in the introduction colour. The strange thing is that the series production still has to start for as far as I…Continue Reading

The new Mercedes-Benz Arocs construction vehicles come with an hydraulic driven front axle as an option. With this ‘Hydraulic Auxiliary Drive’ sytem the truck has the advantages of a driven front axle without the disadvantages.
