The new Mercedes-Benz Arocs construction vehicles come with an hydraulic driven front axle as an option.
With this ‘Hydraulic Auxiliary Drive’ sytem the truck has the advantages of a driven front axle without the disadvantages. Compared with a conventional driven axle the new system is 500 kilo lighter and it saves fuel because of the lower roling resistance.
