And there she is! The new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. This important van now comes with rearwheel drive, allwheel drive and as frontwheel drive. This is the first time the Sprinter can be ordered as a front wheel drive van and that gives new oportunities. For an example the ‘triebkopf’ version that can be the front end of a mobile home, or a low chassis for car transport. The front wheel drive version is available with the 4 cylindre OM651 engine with 130, 105 or 84 kW. The strongest 130 kW version is only available for recreational vehicles with front wheel drive. The rearwheel drive comes with 120, 105 or 84 kW, but can also be ordered with the 140 kW strong OM642 six cilindre diesel engine.
The shape of the new Sprinter is a bit softer than before. The complete body is new, and also the interior is completely new. There are different versions available of the dashboard unit with touch screens that give a lot of new features. The Mercedes Pro system provides connectivity and that is a standard item on all new Sprinter vans. Fleetowners can no follow their vehicles, communicate with the driver and plan service and maintanence. The new generation of the Sprinter is priced lower than before and is standard packed with safety items. Sales already started and the production start before this summer.
