RAM Promaster van coming

On Trucksplanet.com i found this official teaser of Dodge Commercial for the new full-size van. Dodge Commercial is the latest division of Ram Trucks with vehicles like the Ram Cargo Van, Ram 1500, Ram HD’s and Ram HD chassis-cabs. With the Promaster full-size van the programm will be complete.

Ram Truck has now officially announced it will develop this new full-size van for the North American market called the Ram ProMaster but will not release images or specifications of the exact product until later in 2013. The full-size van, the newest asset in the newly born Ram Commercial division, will go on sale near the beginning of the third quarter in 2013. Based on the European Fiat Ducato, the Ram ProMaster will have a significantly redesigned face with familiar Ram styling cues, and the Ram Truck guys assure us they’ll be offering multiple features and powertrains tailored to North American commercial customers.

A few years ago when Dodge was part of DaimlerChrysler the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was sold in the USA with a Dodge grille.

On this close up on the cropped photo we can already see the shape of the familiar Fiat Ducato, dressed up and with a Ram grille.
