MAN is presenting the new D30 engine in the PowerLion driveline at the IAA. During a short driving impression we already drove the new MAN, with 560 Hp. The new, 13 liter engine comes with outputs from 380 up to 560 Hp. The gearbox is a 14- speed Overdrive, automated transmission. Those that sound familiar? It is off course the new ‘world driveline’ of Traton, that is named Super by sister brand Scania.
MAN claims 3,8% lower fuel for the new engine generation, that works without EGR. The order intake starts in oktober this year, for model year 2025. The D30 engine will replace the D26 and D15 engines, starting with the 4×2 tractor units.
