Actros with longer ProCabin in China

When Mercedes-Benz launched the ProCabin with its extended, and streamlined front we asked if there was a longer version comming. Since the EU rules allow longer cabs when they comply to the new rules of aerodynamics and safety that is possible, even with a standard 13,60 meter trailer. The answer was no, but now we found these photo’s from China.

One of these two trucks has the Actros badge. That means it has the Mercedes-Benz driveline. The other one is an Actros C. That is a cheaper, Chinese version with a Cummins engine and ZF transmission.

Both have the extended ProCabin and that looks like a factory solution. With this length the Actros can compete with the DAF XG and maybe even the XG+ cabs. Lets just hope this new, longer cab is comming to Europe as well! Source: 40ton.net
