Russian truck manufacturer Kamaz is developing a new series of constructiontrucks and miningtrucks. Recently, they showed this newly developed five axle 10×6 truck, capable of carrying 60 tons!
The new Kamaz K5 is the first of a whole new range of Kamaz trucks to be developed specifically for offroad use. It’s exterior looks vey nice if we may say so, based on Mercedes technology. However the driveline has got nothing to do with Mercedes. Underneath, there’s a Liebherr 12 litre inline six engine boasting 500 hp. No details are known if this is a Euro 6, neither do we know a thing about the gearbox(es). With a load-capacity of 60 tons, we are however sure, that Kamaz is on the right track with modern day miningtruck technology!
