Volkswagen: bigger share of Navistar

Volkswagen has bought a significant number of shares of Navistar last month, US sources say. The German automaker, keen to create a globally operating truck manufacturing division, teamed up with Navistar in September last year. Now, VW increases it’s share to 17% of the Navistar total.

The truck division of Volkswagen consists of MAN, Scania, Volkswagen do Brasil and there’s a share in Navistar of 16%. VW intends to gain more influence in the American truck constructor, which also offers some truck models, like the International ProStar in this picture, with MAN-related engines.
