Freightliner introduced the new Cascadia Class 8 truck in the USA. With engines from 350- up to 600 Hp, more efficient aerodynamics and new safety systems on board the new Freightliner is the new standard. Also new is the connectivity system by Detroit Connect. Now Detroit is a name that Freightliner gives to just about everything in- and around the truck like the engine, the gearbox and even the axles. Now that is clever cause the Detroit brand name is well known in the American trucking industrie. Daimler took over the Detroit company in the year 2000.
