GM plans to sell rebranded Peugeot vans in US

BoxerGeneral Motors seems to be planning the sale of rebadged Peugeot vans in the United States. La Tribune published a story that GM is making study’s at the moment for the possibility’s. GM owns seven percent in the French manufacturer.

Mercedes-Benz was the first brand to ship European van’s to the States, and Chrysler is rebranding the Ducato that is now sold as the Dodge Promaster Van. Also Ford is working on a world wide Van with the new large Transit for Europe and the USA. GM already has a deal with Nissan for the Nissan NV200 small van that is sold as the City Express. Probably the Peugeot Boxer is the next European van to hit the American market.

chevy-expressAt the moment GM only has the traditional Chevrolet and GMC van’s in the programm but the market is switching to the more modern European setup of vans.
